£110.00

A handcrafted steel Spinosaurus garden sculpture designed to create a bold silhouette in borders, gravel beds, lawns and patio displays.

The sculpture measures approximately 80 cm from teeth to tail and 40 cm high. Its distinctive sail and long outline make it easy to recognise while remaining open enough to sit naturally among planting.

Each dinosaur is made to order from solid mild steel, precision cut and hand-finished in my Norfolk workshop.

Choose either a developed Rusted finish or Ready to Rust bare steel. The untreated steel can weather naturally outdoors, be encouraged to rust more quickly or be painted.

This substantial outdoor sculpture makes an unusual focal point or long-lasting gift for gardeners and dinosaur enthusiasts.

Dimensions and placement
  • Length: approximately 80 cm from teeth to tail
  • Height: approximately 40 cm

The Spinosaurus works as a statement piece in garden borders, raised beds, gravel areas, lawns or as a patio focal point.

Position the sculpture securely on a stable surface where its full outline can be seen.

This is a decorative steel garden sculpture, not a toy, and is not suitable for children.

Materials and making

Each dinosaur is made to order from solid mild steel in my Norfolk workshop.

The outline is precision cut, then cleaned and hand-finished before the sculpture is handmade to the selected finish.

The steel construction creates a substantial, durable outdoor piece designed to remain outside throughout the year.

Each sculpture is individually made, so small differences in surface texture and finish are part of its handmade character.

Finish and natural weathering

Choose between an established rust finish or clean bare steel that will develop its own patina outdoors.

Rusted sculptures arrive pre-weathered with a developed natural rust finish. The photographs show an example after approximately four to five months outdoors in Norfolk UK.

Ready to Rust sculptures arrive freshly made in clean bare steel. Leave the sculpture outdoors to weather naturally or lightly mist it with salty water to encourage the process.

Once the patina reaches a colour you like, a light coat of linseed oil or Danish oil can help slow further weathering. Applying oil will slightly deepen and soften the rust colour.

Left untreated, the steel will continue to change naturally. Colour and texture vary according to rainfall, exposure and local conditions.

Custom orders and commissions

Many products can be adjusted in style, size, finish, fixing method or construction.

Where a customisation box is shown, use it for straightforward instructions that do not change the basic product, such as peg positions on plant stands, small clearance changes or additional information about your requirement.

For a different size, changed design, alternative fixing or more involved request, contact me before ordering. I can confirm what is practical and create a custom listing where needed.
