Round Metal Log Baskets
A handmade round steel log basket designed for carrying firewood indoors and keeping it neatly stored beside the hearth.
The open frame is made from durable 6 mm steel bar. Its spacing helps prevent smaller logs and offcuts falling through, while keeping the basket easy to load and providing practical handholds for carrying.
The standard basket measures approximately 48 cm high × 46 cm wide × 30 cm deep and is powder coated in your chosen colour.
Different dimensions can be made to suit a particular hearth, storage space or log size. Contact me before ordering where you need a custom size or altered proportions.

Made to order in up to 7 working days. Courier delivery usually takes a further 2–4 working days, giving an estimated delivery window of 9–11 working days from ordering.
Returns
This product is made to your individual specifications or customised for your order, so the usual change-of-mind return right does not apply.

Measure the available floor area and hearth before ordering. Also check that the basket will pass comfortably through the route used when carrying firewood indoors.
Carrying and storage design
The open steel frame is designed for carrying firewood indoors and keeping it neatly stored beside the hearth.
The spacing between the bars is close enough to reduce smaller logs and offcuts falling through, while keeping the basket open and easy to load.
The rounded frame provides useful handholds when moving the basket. Load it only to a weight that can be carried safely and comfortably.
Allow damp or freshly brought-in logs to dry before placing them close to a lit fire or stove.
Custom dimensions
The standard basket can be adjusted where you need a different height, width or depth to suit a particular hearth, storage space or log size.
Before contacting me, measure the maximum available space and note the dimensions you would prefer. It is also helpful to include a photograph of the hearth or intended position.
A changed size may affect the proportions, carrying weight and price, so contact me before ordering. I can confirm what is practical and create a custom listing where required.
Colours and custom colours
Standard colours are Black, White, Dark Green, Light Green, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow and Pink.
Please contact me for a RAL reference for any particular colour. Colours can look slightly different on screen depending on the device and lighting.
For a colour that is not listed, contact me before ordering. A custom powder colour normally has a setup charge of approximately £15–£20, depending on the finish.
Multiple items in the same custom colour incur one setup charge rather than a separate charge for every item.
Care and cleaning
No routine maintenance is required. Clean with water or a damp cloth and avoid abrasive pads, powders or harsh scrubbing that could mark the powder-coated finish.
Outdoor pieces can be wiped clean as required. Damage that exposes bare steel should be touched in to reduce local rusting.
